Regarding ICT in tourism:

ICT has completely changed the shape and path of the global tourism industry over the past 10 years. SMEs, suppliers and other stakeholders working in the tourism sector cannot survive without a website, active social media channels, and other online solutions where potential customers can connect and communicate with them – and neither can destinations. Kosovo as a destination is in critical need of developing its digital presence and improving its reputation online as a nice place to visit and even invest. The purpose of these workshops is to bring together actors from ICT and tourism to identify needs and develop ICT solutions and products to facilitate economic growth and employment in the tourism sector. Workshops will be based on identified challenges currently facing the development of the tourism sector, particularly relating to the use of ICT and the internet in promoting a more positive image of Kosovo as a touristic destination, businesses marketing their available tourism products, and how to improve online booking and sales of tourism products.
