We're excited to announce our first online event, which we will host as a discussion on "Alternative Tourism" together between the Greece and Berlin Travel Massive chapters.
In recent years, many alternative forms of tourism have emerged. We will highlight a few of the initiatives coming out of Berlin and Greece in this webinar.
We will start with a short introduction of the alternative tourism scene in Greece and Berlin/Germany. Then, we will have two speakers each from Berlin and Greece who will present their tourism projects in this context.
Here's a rough order of events:
- Welcome by Greece and Berlin chapter leaders
- Lydia Band: An introduction to Berlin's alternative tourism scene
Lydia is the co-chapter leader of Travel Massive Berlin. She holds a Masters degree in Sustainable Tourism and is the Community Manager & Event Coordinator at the Berlin Travel Festival.
- Maria Athanassopoulou: Greece is not only sea and sun
Maria is the founder of Respond on Demand (www.respondondemand.com), which promotes all types of Greek tourism to travel agents abroad. She often participates with her own articles to online magazines and electronic travel platforms. Greek Gastronomy Tourism is the main activity of Top Tourism nonprofit company (www.toptourism.info), where Maria is a co-owner. She is also the chapter leader at Travel Massive Thessaloniki & North Greece and Travel Massive Athens.
- Arianna Nicoletti: Green Fashion Tours
Arianna is the co-founder of Berlin-based Green Fashion Tours (greenfashiontours.com) and Circular Economy Tours. Green Fashion Tours offers unique guided urban excursions and workshops exploring the most sustainable and innovative fashion companies in Berlin and Munich.
- Dina Tertsi: How to organize Greek Dinners Experiences
Dina is thew co-owner of Maiami Seafood Restaurant (www.maiamirestaurant.gr) in Thessaloniki, Greece. She organizes Greek Dinners Experiences at the restaurant.
- Dirk Radke: Fairaway
