Вместе с участниками сессии мы разберем, как создается туристическая привлекательность города и какие конкретные решения превращают его в дестинацию, куда хочется приехать и куда хочется возвращаться.

We invite you to the Almaty Travel Massive networking meetup and the panel session "The Geography of Experiences: How Cities Become Tourist Destinations" as part of the large-scale event DESIGN SUMMIT 2026.

The event will bring together business representatives, urbanists, and experts from the tourism and creative industries to discuss how the urban environment and tourism infrastructure shape the guest experience. We will try to answer the main question: why do some cities become a magnet for tourists, while others remain just a point on the map?

Panel Session Theme: The Geography of Experiences: How Cities Become Tourist Destinations.

Together with the session participants, we will analyze how a city's tourist appeal is created and what specific solutions turn it into a destination where people want to visit and return.
Moderator: Yerkin Tikenov, representative of Inside Travel and OTA Group, coordinator of the CIAQ Tourism Committee, member of the Kazakh Tourism Public Council, and Head of the Almaty Tourism Council of the NCE "Atameken".
