Started my journey as a qualified quantity surveyor and wannabe safari guide. Sometime in the late 90's I gave up my tie and daily commute in Joburg traffic for a life in the bush as a guide and assistant lodge manager.

Guided and managed lodges in the Timbavati, Sabi Sand and Masai Mara for several years before buying shares in an establishment in the Mpumalanga Lowveld.

A desire to get more involved in tourism marketing led to me selling my shares and joining the newly established Kruger Lowveld Tourism organisation to manage their social media, website content and marketing.

These days I get to explore the hidden treasures of our beautiful region for work and for play. I dabble in photography but am unlikely to win any awards.
