Originally from Germany, I first came to the US for a Fulbright Scholarship in the 90s after completing my MA at the University of Heidelberg. Following my return to Germany, I came to Michigan on a work assignment in 2001. It did not take long before I fell in love with the Great Lakes. Wanting to share the beauty of this region that still is under-the-radar for a lot of international visitors, I founded Michigan Travels in 2010. And never looked back.
