Robin was born and raised in Zimbabwe on a ranch in the south east of the country. His family moved to South Africa in the early 80’s where Robin completed his high school, military service and obtained a BComm degree. In the ‘gaps’ he travelled and worked around the globe.

In 1998 he returned to Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls, where he set up and ran an adventure sports production company, filming adrenaline sports activities, as well as managing an overland truck department for Safari Par Excellence. After meeting Clare, he moved to Zambia where he was General Manager for three years at The River Club, a 5-star lodge on the Zambezi River.

In 2004 Robin and Clare were married and they moved to the UK. Robin spent five years with Africa Travel Resource, where he managed the website and online marketing. In 2010 Robin set up Mamba Media, a digital marketing agency focusing on providing bespoke solutions to the travel and tourism industry. Whilst doing this his ideas for SafariDeal.com were coming to fruition which eventually resulted in the launch of the business in 2017.
