Paula Barnes is the founder of Truly Expat Travel, a travel website born out of nearly two decades of expat life across Asia. In 2006, she and her husband packed up their lives and moved to Taiwan with three young children, kicking off what became a 20-year Asian adventure spanning eight postings — from Taiwan to Hong Kong. After years of building community for women navigating life abroad, Paula now embraces the freedom of the empty nest, traveling solo and sharing honest, inspiring travel content for women who are ready to explore the world on their own terms.
