Director and co-founder of i-escape, a handpicked collection of small hotels, B&Bs and villas in 50 countries worldwide. My passion has always been discovering and writing about special places which fly under the tourist radar - be it beautiful small hotels or holiday cottages, stunning little towns or villages, remote islands or beaches, spectacular hikes or wild swims.

I specialise in Europe, especially Greece (where I was brought up), France and Austria (where I briefly went to school), Italy and Spain (where I led hiking tours in my 20s). I have also explored - and fallen in love with - parts of Morocco, Thailand, South Africa, Zanzibar, Caribbean and Brazil.
