I'm a writer and editor with an itch to roam! Since I started counting I've travelled 220, 092 in air miles (that's nearly to the moon) - and more by rail, road, river and sea. I chase cultural experiences around the globe; I have a PhD in ritual and love the way people relate to their world. I've done this despite an invisible illness and chronic pain. If I'm not bedridden I'm planning my next trip; when I am bedridden I'm reading guidebooks to inspire my bucket list. I am happiest near water with a view, and love the buzz of cities and the solitude of the open road.
