About me

My name is Judith, and I live in the Netherlands with my husband and our four children, who are now between 10 and 18 years old. Travel has been my passion since childhood. I love exploring new countries, discovering different cultures, and sharing inspiring stories from around the world on my blog Mooieplekkenopaarde.nl (which means beautiful places on earth in Dutch)

Why did you join the community?

As a travel blogger it seems a good idea to unite with other travel bloggers. It’s always a good idea to expand your network and support each other wherever you can.

What is your favorite travel destination?

My favorite travel destination is without a doubt Iceland. Ever since I set foot there in 2015, I’ve been a fan. The breathtaking landscapes, the fresh air, the thermal bathing culture, and the peaceful atmosphere always do me a world of good. I try to go back at least once a year.

Where do you dream of traveling to?

I dream of returning to Australia one day. I traveled there for three months and felt incredibly happy during that time. If I ever go back, I’d love to combine it with a trip to Japan and New Zealand.

What was your first travel job?

I started writing about my travels on my own blog back in 2008.

What do you want to learn more about?

I’d love to connect with and learn from other travel bloggers around the world, but I’m also eager to learn more about local communities in different countries: their dreams, their perspectives, and their opportunities to travel.
