I am Managing Director of the Northern Training Academy - our organisation offers Government funded apprenticeships for various industry sectors, travel included!

I have been involved in the travel industry for more years than I will admit and am passionate about the training and development for people of all ages to help them to achieve success in their travel career.

I started in travel as a consultant with Thomas Cook many years ago and this gave me a fantastic start in travel. I learnt so much whilst working with Cooks (very sad about their demise). Whilst working at Cooks, I started teaching COTAC air and general (along with other travel courses) at a local college and absolutely loved this the minute I walked into the classroom - I had found my niche and since then, have never looked back.

Travel is my first love and it will be my last! There's a song in there somewhere!
