My interests in travel and tourism have been largely shaped by my experiences in various fields of tourism. Through the lens of a local or at times, as a foreigner, have allowed me to realize the critical role tourism plays in economic development.

I had pursued a worldwide study for 260 days as a full-time tourist on how cities and countries become a popular tourism destination as a result of concerted efforts of tourism organizations, city governments, and other related organizations via tourism policy and marketing strategies. I have interviewed 30 organizations in 19 countries including regional/national tourism organizations, international organizations, and private companies. I have met with more than 150 tourism professionals throughout my journey. What I have been interested in most is how tourism supports interaction between the community and the visitors, and how tourism policy or marketing allows such interaction conducive to all stakeholders involved. After coming back from a long journey, now I am trying to share what I have learned as a traveler from numerous tourism professionals around the world.

I am currently working as an individual activist, trying to share real stories of travel and tourism that are currently changing the world at every corner. I speak to the public such as students, public officers and so on. I write for newspapers, magazines and online publications. I host forums and seminars talking about tourism. I also do a lot of social media to spread my words.
