I'm a freelance travel writer, author and photographer. I work for a number of publications, including National Geographic Traveler, Travel & Leisure, Robb Report and AFAR. My focus is largely in culinary coverage, interesting personality profiles and luxury stays.
I was the bar columnist for the Miami Herald's travel section from 2008 - 2015, I've written two books on New Orleans, and I have a deep and abiding love for every Water Buffalo I've ever seen.
Originally from Alabama, I now call New Orleans home. I've spent my last twenty winters in abroad for a few months, specifically Cambodia, Manila and Bangkok. I'm available for projects in both writing and photography - including but not limited to magazine and newspaper articles, online features, blogs, press releases, marketing materials, web site image and copy creation.
