Jane is an Associate Prodessor in Festival and Events at Edinburgh Napier University. A recognised academic she has presented at major international and national conferences and has published widely in the areas of festival and event marketing and management, wine, food and wellness tourism. Her recent festival and event related experience extends to Event Management and Publicity Co-ordination for the Abu Dhabi Film Festival (ADFF), 2007 – 2012 and Cakefest Edinburgh and Scotland 2015,16. She has a keen interest in developments in the Gulf and is a member of the Scottish Government’s Gulf Interest Group and is a recipient of a Qatar Foundation National Research Grant examining the impact of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in helping to promote green and active living.
She has lived and worked in Europe, the Middle East and Australia and has travelled extensively throughout Asia.
