Jaklien van Melick is an experienced digital marketing and communications professional with over 15 years of international experience in the tourism sector. She has worked across Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America on digital marketing strategies, and capacity building for MSMEs and public sector actors.
Her expertise includes content marketing, SEO, social media marketing, online advertising, and email marketing. Jaklien has held roles with private and public organisations, and international development organisations, including the Austrian National Tourist Office, Dolphin Dynamics, the Asian Development Bank, and the World Bank.
Jaklien combines hands-on marketing skills with a strategic mindset and she has led the design and implementation of digital marketing strategies and campaigns for tourism destinations, supported community-based tourism initiatives, and delivered training and coaching sessions on digitalisation and marketing for rural and women-led MSMEs.
