My first novel 'Strange Fish' is based on my teenage years spent on the West Coast of South Africa, where I lived the life of a fisherman. It tells the story of Jono, a lonely fisherman, who one day encounters a miracle at sea. 'Strange Fish' won 'Best Novel' at the 2021 South African Independent Publisher's Awards. My second novel 'A Man Of The Road' is based on years experience hitchhiking all over the world, and it tells the story of Little Mikey, a young boy from the mythical West Coast town of Freeburg, who must one day set out on an epic cross-country hitchhiking journey to Africa’s greatest city: Goldtown. On his dangerous way he encounters characters from all sections of South African society, and from each he learns an aspect of what it is to truly be free, to live life as ‘A Man Of The Road.’ My novels are available worldwide.
