In our journey towards a more sustainable world, “impact travel” solutions can provide travellers with experiences that positively mark the destinations they visit.
However, there are a few considerations that are crucial to a major breakthrough in impact travel:
1. The paradox that “going mainstream” is not sustainable by its very nature (e.g. mass tourism)
2. Protecting the authentic essence and brand value of “impact travel” so it doesn’t become another marketing tagline
3. Moving beyond simple KPIs to ensure we make a measurable, positive change in the real lives of people
Do you think "impact travel" is feasible for the tourism industry to achieve at a wider scale? What other challenges does impact travel face to become a significant force and transform people's lives and society? Appreciate your feedback!

I have had my water-to-go bottle for around 4-5 years now, taking it to over 70 countries and I have never become ill from the water I have drunk from it.
I have reduced my plastic waste as I never need to buy bottled water and I have saved a lot of money by never having to pay for water. They are durable and give peace of mind to any traveler about drinking from any water source (that isn't saltwater).
I don't go anywhere without mine and it has become an essential piece of kit for me when on the road.
This looks really useful!
They are great! And they now have stores across the world too - it’s been great to watch them grow!
its a great system!
We are big fans! Yugen Earthside is an affiliate partner (and I have bought a bottle for myself) - we recommend them to all of our travelers. They are especially useful for trekking or camping trips where access to clean water might be difficult.
As everyone else has mentioned, this is an excellent product. We're a very small business so don't have the finances to provide each of our guests with their own bottle. However, Water-To-Go allows us to offer our guests a 15% discount and this means we don't purchase bottled mineral water for our guests. The Water To Go bottles are at the centre of our Mongolia plastic free challenge.
love to see smart products getting used in travel!
This is amazing and will work really well for our hikes and especially here in South Africa.
This is such a great concept. I will have to purchase one of these soon. I have really been working hard to lessen my purchase of plastic bottles in general and this will help.
