Albania is a small country situated in Southeast Europe, bordered by Greece in the south, by Macedonia in the east, by Kosovo in the northeast and by Montenegro in the north. On the west Albania is washed by the Adriatic and Ionian seas. It has a population of 2.8 million (2015) and the coastline has wonderful pristine beaches which have been named the Albanian Riviera. Tourism in Albania is a very important sector for the country’s economy, and yet Albania is considered as Europe’s last undiscovered treasury.
