Jett Britnell is an internationally published photojournalist, underwater, wildlife and expedition photographer, travel writer, shark advocate and marine conservationist whose images and editorial appears regularly in publications worldwide. He is largely credited for putting British Columbia’s undersea realm on the world stage, and is responsible for British Columbia’s marine environment being ranked as one of the richest and most diverse ecosystems in the world. Without his fine work, much of British Columbia's excellent worldwide reputation as a diving destination would not have developed. An accomplished public speaker and staunch supporter of marine conservation and environmental education, he was one of the first people in the Pacific Northwest to expound the need for the preservation of marine life in his articles and presentations.
A Fellow of the world renowned and exclusive Explorers Club, a Fellow in the prestigious Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and also a Fellow of the famed Royal Geographical Society in London. Jett is also an Ocean Artists Society member, a unique alliance of the world’s top marine life artists, painters, sculptors, photographers, filmmakers, and writers. Presently, he is also the Regional Director BC/Yukon for the Explorer Club's Canadian Chapter.
